Rules
Pick 5 traders. Stay under $100K. Their real trades during the competition are your score.
The game
- Each Daily Draft runs 24 hours and the next one starts the moment it ends. You can always enter the next draft, and the one after it is already open to queue for. The Weekly Draft runs 7 days the same way.
- Every trader has a salary. Better, steadier traders cost more. Five top traders never fit in the budget.
- One lineup per wallet. Edit freely until the start. At the start, lineups lock.
- PumpKings never trades for anyone, never copies trades and never holds funds. Traders don't know they were drafted.
Scoring (v1)
Points come from realized trading during the window, adjusted for risk. Good trading beats big wallets. Every score has a line-by-line breakdown.
| Realized profit — 6 × log₂(1 + |PnL| / 0.25 SOL), capped at ±30. Profit counts, but logarithmically, so size alone can't win. | ±30 |
| Return efficiency — 35 × tanh(return / 0.5). Return is PnL divided by the most capital the trader had at risk at once (at least 0.5 SOL). | ±35 |
| Hit rate — winners vs losers (moves of at least 3%), weighted up to full strength at 10 positions. | ±20 |
| Winning trades — +1.5 per coin closed at a profit (cost ≥ 0.05 SOL), up to 8 coins. | +12 |
| Big wins — +4 per position that at least doubled and made ≥ 0.1 SOL, up to 3. | +12 |
| Positions traded — +1 per scorable position, up to 5. A trader who sits out isn't a free zero. | +5 |
| Drawdown — up to −25 for the largest peak-to-trough drop in realized PnL, relative to capital at risk. | −25 |
| Single-trade dependence — when one position makes more than 50% of the profit, positive profit and efficiency points shrink, by up to 50%. | cut |
| Open losses — coins bought in the window and still held at the end are marked at the latest price. Gains don't count. 50% of any loss does. | − |
How PnL is measured
- Only positions bought and sold inside the window count. Tokens held from before the start never score, even if sold during the window.
- Costs and proceeds are the SOL that actually left or reached the wallet, including network fees, tips and platform fees.
- Sells use first-in, first-out. Older inventory is always sold first, so cheap old bags can't pose as new winners.
- Tokens received from another wallet, airdrops and multi-token swaps have no reliable cost, so they are excluded and flagged instead of guessed.
- Trades on a coin the trader created never score.
- Flips held under 5 seconds at roughly 0% look like wash trading. Their PnL counts, but they earn no win points.
- Unrealized gains are never called realized.
Data sources
- Live trades: each drafted wallet's confirmed transactions from public Solana RPC, read as balance changes, so pump.fun, PumpSwap, Raydium and Jupiter trades are handled the same way.
- History: a recorded day of pump.fun bonding-curve trades (October 5, 2026), used for trader stats and the scoring backtest. Fees in that recording are estimated at 1.25% per side and flagged.
- Prices for open positions: Jupiter's public price API. Unpriced positions are flagged, not guessed.
- Names and avatars: public pump.fun profiles. Otherwise the wallet address is shown.
Salaries
Salaries come from trading performance only, never wallet size: realized PnL over the last 7 days (40%), win rate (25%), accuracy, meaning the average return per closed trade (20%), and consistency (15%). Traders with few closed trades are pulled toward the middle, so a couple of lucky trades don't make a star. Salaries are fixed when a draft opens.
Prizes
The prize is the creator rewards the PumpKings coin earns while a round is live. The amount is read on-chain from the coin's creator reward vaults and shown live on the competition page.
- Each day's rewards are split: 70% to that day's Daily Draft winner, 30% to the Weekly Draft pot.
- Prizes are paid in the token the coin's creator rewards come in (PUMP, pump.fun's token). The dollar value shown next to a pot is only an estimate.
- One winner per round: the highest-scoring lineup takes the whole pot. If two lineups tie, the one entered first wins.
- The prize is sent automatically to the winning wallet once the round is final (15 minutes after it ends, so late trades are counted), and the transaction is linked here.
- If nobody entered, or the pot is too small to send, it rolls over into the next round of the same kind.
- Fair play: one lineup per wallet, you can't draft your own wallet, and a winner that traded directly with a trader in its own lineup is held for review instead of paid.
